1/17/2024 0 Comments Death spiral gw2![]() ![]() So tell me why anyone should do Strikes? There really is no reason unless you want specific rewards from Strikes.įractals alone gives people the means to get ascended gear with ease and lets them farm lots of gold for legendaries and even has a legendary associated with it. Strikes give you none of this, Strikes are not even close to efficient when it comes to farming gold or ascended gear. Not to mention gold, you can make 30+ gold in an hour or less for just doing dailies plus you get random drops of ascended materials that sell for even more gold. Even armour can be bought for cheap.įractals also get you a full set of stat-selectable and stat changeable ascended accessories every 5 days. This means you can get an ascended weapon once every 3 days. Someone who does T4+CMs everyday gets 300+ fractal relics for one completion and 21 pristine relics per day. Have you calculated the amount of time it will take for you to get one piece of ascended gear from Strikes vs Fractals? Now let's talk about why people don't do Strikes. Literally their answer when someone complained about waiting around for new content. If that $12 throws a wrench in someone's financial plans then boy have I got news for them.Īs for no-lifing, FFXIV developers do not push out content like WoW devs do, they have downtime between releases deliberately and encourage players to unsubscribe during that time and go play something else. It has come to a point in GW2 where the only stuff you can do that aren't mind numbingly repetitive to someone who's been playing a few years are stuff OTHER than organised content.įirst off, FFXIV and WoW subs are pretty cheap, FFXIV even offers a cheaper subscription for one character per server (works since you can level every class on one character and switch whenever) for just $12/month. Same content for 4 years with one new fractal and a raid wing that you probably won't get to do due to how dead raids are. Now imagine someone who's played since beginning of PoF. You probably have done several collections that you liked.Īnd throughout those 2 years you've had the same PvE content to run over and over and over again. ![]() In GW2, if you've been playing for a 2 years or more you probably have already geared your main or even your alts. Look at ESO, they have the same horizontal progression system but they release enough content that people not only have long term collections to do but also challenging PvE content to tackle. The problem currently with GW2 is that for a game that has horizontal progression they have very slow dev cycle.
